Modern vehicles usually have they ECU and BCM programmed with locked VIN and immo data, which preventing use of second-hand modules as replacement. In other words, car manufactures restrict you to use only brand-new modules for repairs. ECU cloning allows to bypass those restrictions by reading locked data from original unit, using special tools and transfer it to the donor unit, creating plug-and-play replacement ECU.
1) Data in original ECU should be not damaged. 2) Original and donor ECUs should have EXACTLY SAME part number and software number. 3) Original ECU shouldn't be chip tunned.
If parts numbers on original and donor ECUs are different, cloning still may be possible, but will require additional programming/coding when cloned unit installed in the vehicle. Other ways it can cause loose of vehicle performance and create trouble codes warnings.
You need to supply original and donor ECU (alternatively we can source and supply donor ECU on your request for additional cost), then book appointment. We will read data from your original ECU and, if data undamaged, transferee it to donor ECU. All you need to do after that is install your donor ECU in vehicle.
Prices for our cloning services starting from $300+GST and we can often clone ECU till you waiting.
